Magic..I love these old radial engines..I saw a blog about the gear train Involved it was an amazing complex design and I thought rebuilding epicyclic gearboxes boxes was a nightmare but when I saw the gear train on those I got to wondering how you would set the timing when rebuilding from complete disassembly...

My Grandfather flew Meteors after the war. He loved them. Theres a couple near my home. One wartime Meteor in immaculate condition.

I gather center-hub steer appeared on a few of the Quasars. I wish they added retractable outrigger stabilizer wheels...and accelerator and break pedals... I assume the Voyager ( Royce Creasy ) motorcycle was inspired by this design.

The mark of a good pilot is to do a good three pointer landing. I realise that in order for these old aircraft to keep flying, they need to be careful and that means wheeler landings. I learned to fly in 1957 at Melbourne Australia.
